No matter what happens this offseason one of the top priorities should be flipping Andrew Wiggins player option contract for another vet on a true expiring contract. We don't need to be going into next year with Wiggins and his 30 mil dollar opt in. Flip him for any combination of Sexton, McCollum, Collins, Clarkson, Smart, Middleton, or Simons.

Tyler at $50M a year and it’s a wrap. I’d rather just blow up the roster than pretend we can win with Tyler using up 30% of our cap space to wear the opposing teams jersey when the playoffs get here every year.

Its likely Herro is extended, either now or next summer but its likely to happen. I''m not mad at rewarding a guy who is getting better each year and is frankly the only player on the roster capable of doing what he does scoring wise.

There's potential good to another dev year (esp with a tactical light tank to maximize the 2026 pick)

They might be saving us like with the Dame situation. If there are no trades im cool with the roster as is. Maybe Wiggins with a full offseason and workout with our staff can turn him into an elite role player/ all star for us and the young guys to gain more experience and reps

50m a season will probably be like 25% of the cap by 2029. It does seem high for Herro, but it would essentially be equivalent to about 37m today (which is about 30th in the league).

If you give Herro that money you are pretty much banking on him being (at minimum) your 2nd best scorer on a championship-level team and a top 3 player on the roster.

Some notable players that made ~37m this season:

- Ja Morant
- OG Anunoby
- Jamal Murray
- Brandon Ingram
- Zion Williamson
- MPJ
- FVV (42m)
- Siakam (42m)
- Desmond Bane (34m)
- CJ McCollum (33m)

If you think Herro belongs in this group, then he probably deserves the 37m inflation-adjusted 4 years from now (which is 50m).

Derozan trade, Herro max extension, bid against ourselves for Mitchell and sign him for $20M per, and refuse to trade for Zion, Trae Ja, KD, etc. for a bag of chips and call it an offseason.
