Williams to leave for Draft

Personally, I think that Elliot needs to stick around for another year to improve his stock in the draft. Although he's proven to be a good player. He still needs to address some issues like perimeter shooting for instance and FTs'. I was looking forward to see what he and Joe Jackson could do for the Tigers in the upcoming season. Unfortunately that doesn't look like it's in the cards.

I think EW has enough "potential" for NBA execs to take a gamble on him. I'm of the opinion that now's the best time for him. Next season he'll be on a much deeper team with very talented players that will be vying with him for PT.

With Barton, Jackson and Kendrick all coming in next season and taking away minutes and shots, I can see why he left.

He could be available with the Lakers pick o_0

I guess where I'm coming from is that right now he's projected in the second round right now. Albeit that anything can happen between now and the draft, he has come ways to go in terms of leaving some good impressions to the scouts and GMs for any one of them to take a chance on drafting him in the first round.

I'm kind of surprised about this news. Even with the talent coming in next year, Williams was still projected to be the starter - and probably would have gotten the most minutes of the wings. I also don't think there's any way he gets picked in the first round of the draft, but I've certainly been wrong before. Best of luck to him.
