Kwame Time!!!

Post#1 » by kavu » Wed May 19, 2010 6:43 pm

So, I admit it. I knew the lottery was last night and then I forgot all about it. As a longtime Bullets fan, I have earned the right to forget. I was pretty shocked to see the headline on ESPN that the Wiz got the first pick.

As a seasoned Washington fan, the question now is how do we not screw this up. We are in the Kwame Brown zone. Thought we could generate a list of things to do before the draft to avert disaster...I'll start:

1) Measure Wall and Turner's hands - wasn't that the pitfall for Kwame (among other things)?
2) Measure Wall and Turner's handgun collection - nuff said
3) Don't listen to any opinion expressed by MJ (much as I loved him as a player)
4) Change the team name to Lakers or Celtics

Any other ideas?

cheers,
dan

Not only was Kwame Brown a bad pick in the 2001 draft, most of the top picks were. Of the top 4 guys only Cousins has the bust potential of Kwame Brown and I don't think it is very likely. I think they got focused on the "eye-ball test" and "potential" rather than looking at this actual skills.
