this is similar to cushings case.
while at USC, we have strong institutional control to ensure players perform to the best of their abilities. however, when entering the pros, outside influences place steroids in drinks, tamper with finely tuned personnel that we provide, and they get involved with negative influences from the pro game.
there are shining examples such as troy polamalu. and then there are some who are the non-troy-polamalu types.
so while we still provide a home for them back in Southern California, we cannot halt the external factors from influencing these fine young men from the University.
