... Why not make Bibby a player-assistant? Like Aaron McKie or Lindsey Hunter? His BBIQ is pretty high (even defensively, although his ability is lacking quite far behind now), he's very vocal (yelled back at Woody to get Smoove out of the corner 3 spot), and seems to be pretty well respected by the rest of the guys. Being a player-assistant would also mean that Teague would get more burn, which is obviously crucial to the long-term success of the Hawks.
Who knows, maybe he could even curb some bad habits (e.g. "Josh, if I hit more 3's than you this practice than you make long 2's, you don't take any next game"). I'm not seeing a real downside.
So I was initially kidding, but after more thought...

I don't see it.
I don't see Bibby as a leader for this team going forward.

It's not meant for him to be a leader, it's meant for him to be a mentor.

My opinion as a mentor, which should be considered a leader of those with lesser skills, is that he does not show he has the skills to be a leader.
I don't think we gain alot having Bibby on this team. His playoff performances have been adequate at best.
We have him 2 more years, so I guess we go with what he decides to give us. That means limitations on the court and his better days are behind him. Maybe LD can get something out of him that Woody couldn't.
