Big Baby Glen Davis Motivational Speech for Game 7

Post#1 » by IceNcream27 » Wed Jun 16, 2010 6:00 pm

"We went through too many ups and downs to lose like this," Davis said. "Out of all the teams in the league we were the one that struggled. We were the one that went through the bumps and bruises. We went through the, 'we're old.' We went through the 'oh, they can't play, they're going to get beat by Cleveland, get beat by Orlando.' We're here now, in spite of what everyone else thinks.

"So you think we're just going to let this go? No. We accept the challenge to win the championship. We want it. It's that point blank simple. We could have gave up a long time ago. We could have gave up a long time ago and looked forward to next year. But no, we're here. So we're going to take it while we are here. We understand we've been through the ups and down and deserve it more than them."

--Glen "Big Baby" Davis, on why the Celtics will step up in Game 7.

So because your team took nights off and had lack of effort for half the season that you deserve it becasue of those ups and downs?

LAWL

We took everyone's best shot as a defending champion without a healthy team all year, get over it.

Was looking for this thread to post the same thing, you cleared space with a shoulder bump and step to the left like The Thief used to do.

......and then Clint pulled the trigger...

I'm gonna also quote Cap'n Miller from Pvt. Ryan: "Earn this..."

Yeah, Davis is hoping he can engender the same feelins in one of the refs in case they're watching.

Fat boy should keep his mouth shut the way he played in game 6. With Perkins not playing. Lakers should dump every possession inside and get celtics bigs in foul trouble.

Odom was right scrubs do not respect Lakers. Lakers should stick it to fat boy and his wannabe gangsters teammates

There is a difference in confidence and claiming they deserve it cause people called them old.

I applaud the confidence, I shake my head at the 'deserving"

I am going to go out on a limb and say the team that wins game 7 deserves the ring.
Cheers. — Mags

You probably think the Suns deserved to win in 2005 because they played more "funner" offense than the Spurs.
