Trade proposal to net Deron Williams

The Nets trade the #3 pick to the Jazz for Deron Williams and Mehmet Okur. Williams makes over $15 million next season and Okur makes $9.45.

Why do the Jazz make this trade? It is predicated on taking on Peja and Collison from NO in what must be a three way trade. The trade gives them a very cheap option to Williams and unloads Okur's contract. They get a big man with huge potential in Cousins or even Favors. They build around the very cheap nucleus of Collison, Millsap, and Cousins/Favors.

Why does NJ make this deal? With guaranteed salaries of $37.4 for next season after the trade (Harris excluded), they have a star point guard in Williams, a PF in Okur, and the further ability to sign Carlos Boozer if they move D. Harris. In fact, the team could even keep Harris and sign Boozer if they were willing to go up into luxury tax range. This would be a very dangerous team immediately.

Wow, that's a bad deal for the Nets. But out of the goodness of my heart, I just might accept it to help Utah out of a sticky situation.

Lol....its pretty bad when you go to another board and get laughed off of it for proposing a lopsided trade IN THEIR FAVOR....this dude is a Jazz poster who was pushing this idea on our board for awhile. Give him a break, its been a rough couple months.
