lebron going to miami

Post#1 » by jazzfanak47 » Fri Jul 9, 2010 2:06 am

I feel for cavs fans right now not only for the way lebron announced he was leaving but being a jazz fan i could totally see that happening here at some point, just not with the hype or media attention.

DelaneyRudd why don't you just edit the title of my topic instead of locking it? You lock way too many topics.

Hmmm, anyone else think Miami is still the 5th or 6th seed out East? I really don't like that lineup much at all, and having bottom feeders around them to flesh out the team is really going to be ugly. I think this is a massive mistake for LeBron, but I honestly don't give two **** about that guy anymore, he is a media/publicity whore and a major reason why the NBA is going down the tubes. This will end with egg on 3 huge egos.

Personally I'm very skeptical. But then I didn't think KG+Ray Allen+Paul Pierce would work, so who knows.

Mike Miller going.

Chalmers, Miller, James, Bosh, O'Neal

That's pretty amazing. Even with Deshaun Butler and D-Leaguers as companions.

Man, those heat fans are downright childish about their new toys. I didn't know there WERE heat fans around here. Funny how some things change so quick.

If I was Lebron, I would have left as well but for the KNicks. Same with DWILL, he has to go when his contract is up as the Jazz management, as well as other small market teams, cannot put toghter a championship team unless they get lucky in the draft. The Jazz got lucky with Stockton and Malone and came close and the Cavs got lucky to get Lebron and came close.

What are you talking about? The Spurs put together a championship team with Duncan. He was their only hight draft pick. This crap doesn't happen over night. Would you like to see the Jazz tank for years in advance while shedding salary like crazy to get just 2-3 guys?

The Celtics were awful until that trade was made. The Heat haven't even sniffed the championship since Shaq left. The Lakers almost lost Kobe before a lucky trade. If D-Will leaves that will be unfortunate but the Jazz aren't going to take every single risk you propose.

Spurs had david robinson tanked it one year and got lucky and won lottery in Duncan. Manu and Parker also fell in their laps int he draft. That is exactly my point as guys like Lebron, Kobe, dont sign with small market teams especially nowadays where loyalty is no longer that important. DWILL is unfortunately gone in a couple of years and the Jazz management better take some gambles to try and win one before he is gone.

Sure thing. Worked out well for Cleveland.

At least they tried!!! What do propose is to just hope to be an 6-8th seed every year until DWILL leaves then we are a non-playoff team for several years. Taking gambles on guys like Oden, Biedrens, type players where you would be likely have to give away several future #1s and young talent is worth the risk.

Since when is Oden available? The guy hasn't played that many games since joining the league. Cleveland got screwed because they took so many risks and not one of them panned out. Not one. You keep building. We have 2 TPEs and cap space next year. D-Will likes it here and lives here year round. The Jazz have shown they are comitted to winning but THESE THINGS DON'T HAPPEN OVERNIGHT.

I'm not a fan, horrible choice by LeBron. Shoulda stayed or gone to Chicago. Terrible decision that is going to back fire on all three of those guys. How are they going to win with no one else on their team?

Say hello to the new villan of the NBA

Heat fans are worse than Laker fans in terms of bandwagoning. They only care when things are going great.

Maybe the Jazz will be able to sign & trade Williams for Wade in 2012, after this whole Miami Thrice thing flops.

I don't think this could have ended well regardless of who he chose because of how he did it. I'm still in awe he went to the Heat. He's ruined everything. Really gotta feel for Cavs fans right now.
