Predict Our Position Next Season.

Post#1 » by Mount Mutombo » Fri Jul 16, 2010 7:24 am

Grammar fail. Purposly fail.

So, yeah, if you cannot determine the title it says, predict our position next season. What do you think? I say we'll be getting the 4th position.

You spelled purposely wrong and used too many commas .

53 - 29 - 6th seed with a 3 win disparity between the 6th and 2nd seed.

Can we wait and predict after we see how Yao plays first? I'd say after the first game, everyone will be able to tell if we'll be a playoff team or another lottery team.

If Yao plays 75+ game I see us sitting from 2-4
If Yao plays 50-70 games I see us getting 5-8
If Yao plays 40-50 games I see us competing for the 8th spot
If Yao plays less than 40 games I see us out of the playoffs again

God please make Yao injury free next year please

If Yao stays healthy, a one seed. The Rockets are stacked, from top to bottom. We've got perimeter scorers, post scorers, shooters, elite defenders inside and out and the deepest bench in the league with Lowry, Budinger, Battier, Patterson Hill and Hayes. The only thing that holds this team back from being real contenders is the spectre of bad health, but I think this will finally be the year everyone stays healthy. I predict first in the west and an epic 7 game series vs Miami which the Rockets win.

Fixed.

Now seriously,I love your team cause Scola plays there and he´s been one of my favourites players since I started watching basketball, but I think you guys cannot beat the Lakers (you got them on the ropes two years ago but I seriously doubt you can surpass them as the top seed in the West)

I respect you guys but I think you´d finish around the 3rd seed and perhaps you´ll reach the West Conference Finals.

See you

I'm predicting 4th seed and Western Conference Finals.

If we do a mid-season move for a big name then 2-3 seed and maybe a title?

Thread title should be changed to "predict Yao's health next season."

With a little luck in the health dept. I think we can beat anyone in the west. We already own Portland, OKC, Phoenix (they are going to the lottery), and I don't see SA being much of a problem for a healthy Rockets team. I think we are now better than the Jazz, but we still have to prove it. The only teams that I think have a chance of beating us are LA and Dallas, but I don't really fear them either. If our brittle superstar can pull his weight for once, we could be facing Miami in the finals. Let the games begin!!!!

I don't understand why you guys think we'll automatically grab the 2nd - 4th seed so easily. We're terrible defensively at the 1 and 2 and we still don't know how Yao has healed.

And we "own" OKC? That team has a chance of winning 60 games. Phoenix also has a chance of ending up like we did last year so it's not like they're gonna drop to the bottom of our conference. The Jazz might even end up finishing close to us since Jefferson always killed us whenever we played Minn.

This sounds about right.
