Are Wizards Season Tickets Worth Buying?
I've had season tickets in the past, the most recent being the 06-07 season. I'm looking at our roster and I can't help but wonder if it's worth it this yr.

Won't be worth it if we trade Arenas.

Thanks. I had planned on waiting until mid-August to make a decision to see if we make anymore moves.

Not this year. I'd get like a 10 game plan or something.
Bickerstaff: who's up for kickball?!!
Ed Wood: Only if it's the no-pants variety.

What about the NBA game plan? Wizards are the only team I watch, and I don't live in the DC area. Is the game plan worth getting, or should I just follow the Wizards via box scores?
Viva le tank! At this pace, it will never end.

NBA game plan to watch Wizards? Wall Blatche and Arenas may be entertaining at times.

Re: Are Wizards Season Tickets Worth Buying?
I've had tickets in the upper level, dead center for the past 8 years. The price of the ticket is around 660 per season. When you think about that, one ticket for 41 games is less than an upper level seat on the 10 yard line to see the Redskins for 8 regular season games and two pre-season games. I believe the upper corners this year are selling for around 400 a ticket. So in that respect, the value is there, and at $16 bucks a ticket, you should be able to recoup at least some money if you choose to sell. It's a good investment if the team ever becomes good, and since Leonsis is putting cup holders in the pisser now, you even have a place to put your beer.

Re: Are Wizards Season Tickets Worth Buying?
ridiculous question
so I'll give this 'answer'
it depends on what they are worth to you
they can be had pretty cheaply as mentioned above.
My LOWER level seats (sec 107) are $2600/yr for a PAIR of
tickets which works out to $31/game/ticket.
Being the optimist that I am, I think we're going to
be right back to being solidly in the playoff hunt this
year. My tickets will increase in value. I can sell certain
games for WAY over my cost and drive my per game price
even lower, IF I choose to do so. Last year I sold my LAL
tickets for $150 for the pair and my Celtic tickets for $140
for the December game.
And in a few years when we have a waiting list for season
tickets a la the CAPs, I'll be sitting pretty (for an old guy).
YMMV

While Wall won't have a Strassburg effect on attendance, if he starts out well and the team starts out well, it might be hard to get cheap walk up tickets to Wizards games for the first time... ever.

Re: Are Wizards Season Tickets Worth Buying?
Dobrojim is spot on in his view.
We've had section 105 seats for a couple of years now.
104 through 107 & 115-118 are called obstructed views ...
(but the backboards are clear after all)
and are a shoe squeeking joy of closeups.
After years of overpriced LL midcourts these are a great way of doing the "show"
Maybe this year we wont even be having to sell the LAL and Celtics and can reclaim
the DC noise. ( Damn O'Mallay curse)

Re: Are Wizards Season Tickets Worth Buying?
as posted in the other season ticket thread...i used to be in sales with the wiz. all depends on what you determine is their "value."
there will be no all-star plans. instead, it'll be 10 games...and not all of them will be prime. i can see them doing four seperate 10-game plans.
i personally would wait until the schedule gets dropped (should be in the next 10 days) to see what partial plans they offer.
