Bill goldberg: "I want one more match

Post#1 » by 5th pick sucks » Sun Jul 25, 2010 11:39 pm

former wwe and wwf champion bill goldberg had the following to say about the possibility of wrestling one more match "if the money was right i'd go out and do it in two seconds. I'd have to be totally prepared for it because i wouldn;t want to tarnish my image, but i'd like to be in the ring so that my wive and son can see me wrestle live."

"i don't want to say that i miss anything about the wrestling business. I miss the ablity to put a smile on a kids face, more than one at a time That was a true charge for me

source: wrestle zone

wrestlemania is in his hometown

 just to see a match live

what do you guys think about this??????????/

Yeah he's been talking to them about it for a while. Especially since its in ATL and JR was thinking he would possibly get inducted to the HOF. The man always keeps himself in tip top shape, but for me to be cool with it he would have to go back and train hard for it and not half ass it.

I mentioned this before, but i'll say it again. I think a Mania storyline match with him and Taker wouldn't be bad at all. Never fought each other and they could go with Taker being undefeated at Mania and Goldberg was famous for be undefeated in WCW.

I would think Goldbreg would have to wrestle a few matchs for the storyline with undertaker
to have goldbreg establish his domanices
let Golberg Go on abohter undefeated Streak
He’s not (my-vydas), he’s not (your-vydas), he’s Arvydas

Yeah no way WWE does that. I mean Goldberg could always come out and talk about getting inducted to the HOF and then turn his attentions to Taker. Don't think they'll go that route but I think thats the best option if there is one.

You got the feeling that wrestlers like Bret, Shawn, Undertaker, and Flair are passionate about the business and enjoy wrestling, but I've never felt that way with Goldberg. In the biggest show of the year, I'd prefer to see wrestlers who actually enjoy performing. I hope this doesn't happen, but even I have to admit that there aren't a lot of wrestlers for Undertaker to beat for his undefeated streak so Goldberg would make sense.

whisker biscuit should stay retired, but out of curiosity what was his last match? if it was the Brock match then maybe that isn't the best way to exit lol

Think it was the Brock match, don't think he wrestled after that. I remember him doing some Japan stuff but I think that was before his WWE stint.

Just wondering, if he fought Taker, would you guys want Goldberg to be a face or a heel?

He would be heel by default because I can't see the fans turning on Taker for Goldberg of all people. WWE would have to work their asses off to build up a storyline that took long enough for people to cheer him. They'd have to have Taker come back as the "Gothic" Taker that feuded with Austin and everyone hated, and have him tear through the entire roster taking out all the top faces, etc. They'd probably need Paul Bearer back too, to build more heat.

And after months of that happening, then they'd have to have Goldberg suddenly pop out and go after Taker which would make the fans go ape ****. But when you're banking a huge storyline on Taker like that, you're running the huge risk that he gets hurt again - and then the story is screwed after.

If Taker was younger I could see it happening, but not today. His body can't take the beating of a regular schedule anymore.

For hype around this match (if it were to happen), wouldn't really need any hype. Sure they would regardless. But putting the names of Taker and Goldberg one on one and especially at WrestleMania....enough said.

I didn't mean that Taker would be the heel, I can't see him ever being heel again. They could pull off the match with both Goldberg and Taker as faces. Taker wins a hard fought match, raises/shakes Goldberg's hand and everyone celebrates. The storyline build-up would be trickier though.
