Nets + Wolves + Bobcats (?) Sim League?

Post#1 » by mikhailjordan » Sat Aug 14, 2010 4:52 am

The Nets and Wolves boards are starting a one season basketball sim league, but it turns out we don't have enough participants. So I would like to open up the game to Bobcats fans.

We currently have 6 open spots in the league.

For those unfamiliar with the concept of a "Sim League" it's basically a 30 team league where every participant steps into the shoes of a GM.

Every week 10-15 games in a NBA season are simulated (in NBA 2k10, Draft Day Sports, or some other basketball simulation software) after which statistics, team standings, etc. are posted.

From there players can then decide to sign free agents, and / or whether or not to make trades with one another.

The process is then repeated until the end of the 82 game season and the playoffs.

For the purposes of this sim league whichever team wins the NBA championship is not necessarily the "winner". Instead we are going to evaluate each team based on a set of to be defined criteria that takes into account whether the team was in a "win-now" mode, was rebuilding, etc.

I'm currently in my third year of a Football Sim League. What software would we be using? For the aforementioned league, we use Dave Koch.
Charlotte Bobcats
Buffalo Bills
Pittsburgh Penguins

Return to Charlotte Hornets
