Hill to Indy - what would it take?

Pacers fan here,

As everyone probably knows we need a PF BAD...I was just wondering what it would take to get Jordan Hill from you guys. You guys just drafted Patterson so do you still consider Hill to be a part of the future?

He is going to be part of a big trade which would land us a star. So you could be looking at a three way trade.

ya it has to be a multi team deal. we're stacked at almost every position, sg has 2 but about half the team can play sg so its no biggie. we can trade him straight up for a defensive big (pf/c) but no one on indiana would help us that much: foster is old and had an injured year, jones isnt that good, and hibbert can only play center.

id actually love to have hibbert...having yao(injury prone) and miller(old) still doesnt make me feel 100%safe at center plus that move would let hayes play pf more with yet another shotblocker behind him

hibbert is too daam good to play less than 20mpg. he needs to develop and only way to do that in houston is if yao or miller are traded. he's too big and slow for pf, 7'2 280lbs, so cant play him w/ yao or miller. and i doubt pacers would trade him for hill.

i can't see it happening. indiana doesn't really have any pieces that houston is after. it would be better for them to keep hill and let him develop.

the only scenario i see is if houston trades hill for give patterson some minutes to develop and if it's with the pacers, morey probably won't just give hill away for a 2nd round pick so it would have to be a 1st round pick and indiana is not going to be stupid enough to do that... i hope.

so it's a no go... maybe in a different scenario involving 3 teams.

Morey was very interested in Brandon Rush at one point in time. Not sure if he still is or not after getting Lee, but I'm certain Hill won't be just given away for any scrubs on your roster that you don't want anymore. What sense would that make?

Probably because most teams' 11th and 12th men are overpaid and/or scrubs, that the concept of a deep bench player having value is foreign to them... the fact that Hill is on a rookie contract and may have untapped potential is baffling.

If you trade the 2012 pick the rights to swap with NY go with it. We didn't get two 2012 picks if that was what you're thinking. We also traded Andersen a while ago...

Do you honestly think this is a good deal for Ind? They're basically left with nothing.
