So you plan to give the Pistons another guard? Not to mention the one they got rid of. Stuckey, Bynum, White, Hamilton, Gordon, Daye, Tmac and now Chauncey? If Hamilton was to be traded, that's a different question but not Prince.

and 6 players are going back to the nuggets not 8
but they are giving up 2
so they would only be adding 4 players

So Kings give 2 2nd rounders, Omri, and Garcia for Melo?

If that's the case, we take it and run with or without an extension

LOL at the Nuggets getting eight players. The deal is overall terrible for everyone except the Kings. If that's all the Kings would have to give up for Melo than wow.

I got an idea

Nuggets get: Aminu, Landry/JT, Diaw, Clippers 1st, Kings 2011 1st
Clippers get: Melo, Augustin
Bobcats get: B.Davis
Kings get: Gordon, Mohammed

Another trade:
Rockets get: Kings 2012 1st, future 2nd rounder
Kings get: Patterson

Kings lineup
PG: Reke, Beno, Pooh
SG: Gordon, Garcia, Head
SF: Greene, Casspi
PF: Landry/JT, Patterson, Whiteside
C: Cousins, Dalembert

The Kings aren't going to give up two future 1sts for those type of players.

A 1st+Jason Thompson for Eric Gordon is a steal.

If the first deal went down, I wouldn't have a problem swapping out my 2012 first for Pat Patterson. I doubt a player of his caliber will be available where the Kings will be picking next year. Further, getting an older rookie is probably best for a team this young, and it gives the team another bargaining chip when it comes time for Landry to get his extension.

I like the first one for all sides, actually.

EDIT: Looking a bit closer at the numbers, you can't move both a 1st and JT for Gordon... maybe a pick swap instead.

Well if the Kings do improve, I doubt that they'd be able to get a player of Gordon's stature in picks #10-14. By 2012, we should be in the playoffs, so Patterson would be some good value. Plus, it'll make demarcus happy. :D

Well, I checked and the trade worked in ESPN's Trade Machine. Although, I had it so we traded Landry.

The Kings would HAVE TO make this move!!
I realize it's not realistic though...

I guess I just see Gordon as a slightly bulkier (and thus slower) version of Bobby Jackson. And as things stand right now, we are not quite ready to take on a Bobby Jackson - who is really a need for a contending team.

I like what I've seen of Eric Gordon, but it would be a mistake to offer JT & a 1st.

Yeah, I wouldn't exactly call JT and a 1st a "steal". It makes it seem like one considering how perfect a fit he would be, but value wise it's no steal.

Yeah, the trading big for small factor is bad enough but then you throw in a first? No way.

As a Kings fan, I personally want to keep JT right now and see how he plays with DeMarcus & Dalembert. He is a perfect off the bench PF that hustles, rebounds & plays fairly solid defense. Also adding to the fact that he has a pretty nice looking jump shot. He can also start for you, only problem with that is, he tends to pick up stupid and quick fouls at times and that limits his minutes, so the 6th man role suits him at this point in his young career.

The decision on JT still has to be made, I don't think he and Landry can stay. I'd honestly dislike seeing a major part of our cap space go to re-signing both. Unless we be winnin' big of course!
