OT - New Jersey's New Starting PG

Post#1 » by ALL HAIL » Sat Sep 25, 2010 2:04 am

Jordan Farmar.

How well will he do?

PG - Farmar
SG - Williams
C - Lopez
PF - Murphy
SF - Anthony

I think he'll be the third option by the end of the year behind Anthony and Lopez. Always thought he didn't fit on the Lakers but that he'd do well with a coach who'd give him minutes to play through mistakes.

Thoughts.

He has the tenacity, I wouldn't be shocked if his value grows in that role. I only wish him the best.

Never liked Farmer. Something about those ears. They offend me. These are my thoughts and I'm passionate about them.

The Nets are going to be solid with Avery running things now, btw. I'm a big fan of him and I'm glad Melo agreed to the deal. Otherwise, he would have been one year closer to his death running that previously grotesque line up. There's re-newed hope for Nets fans after all.

I was wondering who would play point guard if they traded Harris. I forgot all about Frodo!

4 team trades are so hard to get done. If just one team feels they are the one getting the worse then they pull out and all fall down.

Farmar is not a top PG. He is good off the bench. As a starter, he will not be what they really want. Harris is a good to very good pg. Farmar was drafted in the low 20's for a reason. He is not fast or strong or very creative. He is just OK and can hit a 3 and steal the ball a few times and pass. He will not bring people into the seats. He is just kind of boring and bland.

I hope the trade goes through just to see how that roster would work. Farmar is a gamer. I know he was disappointing as a Laker, but I liked him as a Bruin and I'd like to see him get some of that swagger back.

They might be an interesting team to watch in the East.

Farmar is very talented IMO. He'll break out into a 13/6 type of player this year. Triangle just wasn't his thing.

The Triangle doesn't favor any point guards stats.

I think that Farmar will do well... I also think that he'll be competing with Augustin in the deal. I also think that NJ would become the front runners for CP3.

Yeah the triangle is not for traditional little PGs who like to control tempo and who can't shoot straight.

You're right on though. I think he averages 13/6 too if given 32 minutes a game with Carmelo an Lopez.

Yeah, I think this is more about 5 years from now than now.

Avery is gonna turn Famar into a stud PG. Just like he did Harris.

I thought Farmar went to Indiana or something?

Anyways it's (Please Use More Appropriate Word) of Melo to ask for a trade when Denver have been loyal and built a good team around him. His time in NJ would be worse than in Denver IMO, if this deal goes through of course.

Harris was a stud when he went to NJ, in Dall he was just a speed guy
