The Real Reason Kaman has to Go
It's not his scoring or his turnovers that's the problem. He provides NO resistance at the rim. It's a damn layup when he's out there and everyone in the league knows it.
Blake or DJ may pick up some bad fouls because of too much energy and no respect from the refs but guys know if you don't bring it hard, you're s##t is getting tossed.
At least Sharon Davis has faked an injury and just gone away. Kaman isn't going to do that. He has an ounce of integrity. We have to remove him from the organization.

Re: The Real Reason Kaman has to Go
We've got to move Kaman because he's got an ounce of integrity?
So he either needs to fake an injury or be traded?
I'm sorry, but the only way we should move him is either together with Baron, so we can get back a somewhat solid package, or for an upgrade...

Re: The Real Reason Kaman has to Go
I doubt that we can really find an upgrade for Kaman. We'd be lucky to find a solid Center to be our starter.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

Re: The Real Reason Kaman has to Go
Not a single person has been able to provide a good alternative to moving Kaman. Baron I can see being moved since the EJ/Bledsoe rotation at PG seems to be doing rather well as of late. But if anyone honestly thinks we'd be better off trading Kaman they better lay off that pot and realize prop. 19 didn't pass.
If Kaman is as bad as everyone says, what team would trade away better center for him without getting other good talent in return? Jordan and Collins is a complete joke of a rotation at center.

No he needs to go because he doesn't play ANY GOD DAMN defense. Everyone gets a layup when he's in there. No second thoughts at all. DJ at least provides some threat of a block shot.

Re: The Real Reason Kaman has to Go
I always see all these get rid of Kaman threads on here but I have to agree with pandem00nium u don't have at the center position that would make Kaman expendable and if u did trade him there are only a hand full of better centers in the league and those guys aren't being traded.
With Kaman u have a legitimate 7 footer that can defend centers, score inside with either hand, and can step out and hit the 14-18 footer. What else can u ask for that's a rarity in this league. Then to get rid of him because these small guards get layups on him. I think your missing the fact that not only are the guards in the NBA really good but they get paid millions of dollars BECAUSE they're able to make those shots against almost anyone.
Instead of trying to get rid of Kaman ur front office should be trying to add a legitimate shot blocker to the rotation like u had with Camby rather than blowing ur money on a guy like Brian Cook

A guy like Okafor or Perkins is generally considered less talented and less sought after and would be a better fit for us. A good defender and rebounder who just rebounds.

Re: The Real Reason Kaman has to Go
The Detroit Pistons will take him from you. I offer Rip, Prince, and Maxiell for Kaman and Davis. Maxiell is an undersized center but is very athletic, can rebound well, and a good blocker. With an expiring and you guys getting rid of Davis and taking Rip, I think it's a fair trade. Isn't Gordon injured? I would do it if I was you guys.

Defense wins championships

Re: The Real Reason Kaman has to Go
First off ur not getting Perkins for Kaman. That's not gonna happen. Boston is on their way to trying to win championship and they already have a system that works so theyre not gonna gamble it away on a big trade just so u can prove a point. Plus that guy would be half as a good in ur system. He's not as good as u think. His team makes him better.
Okafor is a possibility but those guys are undefeated who knows if they'd be up for a trade.
It's easy just to throw names out there because u don't like Kaman. But u haven't actually said anything that works. People don't make trades just to help u improve ur team. That's not how real life works.

I wouldn't mind considering this deal if I were Olshey.

Re: The Real Reason Kaman has to Go
I must say that Kaman pisses me the hell off. He needs to dunk and finish strong around the rim which he doesn't. If he was aggressive his production would be a lot better. Kaman is an extremely frustrating player to watch. I just want to go young, I rather watch Bledsoe, EJ, Aminu, Blake & DeAndre go out there and lose but at least they'll give it their all.

Well he's out for a while now so we don't have to watch this idiot get dominate by players half his size.

What about sending Kaman (+sumthing) to OKC for Jeff Green and Krstic?
Life may not be the party we hoped for but while we are here we might as well dance!

You do realise DJ is much more of an idiot. His defense is beyond awful, can't hit free throws and is also a bit turnover and foul prone....
I mean, lets stop overrating our bench. The reason guys don't start is because they aren't as good. People always want to rag on the veterans and say get the rookies in but the coach gets to see them play everyday. There is a reason they are glued to the bench to start the season. Bledsoe has looked decent but if he wasn't a rookie we would have been complaining like hell in a few of the games already. People trying to say we have been playing better.... we are 1-7 and our only win came against a Thunder team playing horribly bad.

I thought he has no real value anyways, with him having that bad start to the season...

Again, calm down loot, we could get some "fair" and solid value in return for Kaman, if we wanted to trade him.
But looking at our bench and knowing that other teams wouldn't trade us an upgrade in return the only way you move him is if you can unload Baron as well(and save some money) in such a deal.

Re: The Real Reason Kaman has to Go
You keep telling me that, meanwhile we both know that all star Kaman wouldve netted us much more than injured subpar 10 pt/8 rebound Kaman.
I'm calm. Tell me btw...who said he didn't have any value anyways? You can save the rolling eyes icons for them.
