Here We Stay - Keep the Kings in Sacramento

Post#1 » by tru6playa » Mon Nov 8, 2010 10:54 pm

I posted this in another thread, but I thought this deserved it's own thread. If the mods see different they can lock it up.

I found this on facebook - it's an interesting campaign by local fans and residence of Sacramento to keep the Kings franchise in town.

I'll do all that I can to help this campaign and hope you guys will too. Hopefully, the newer generations of voters in Sacramento are open to the idea!

Seattle's NBC affiliate did a story last night about "rumors" associated with the Kings, Seattle and Steve Ballmer's (Microsoft CEO) recent move to liquidate a couple billion dollars worth of stock. They sent a reporter to Sacramento to look into this. I think it's a fair story that illustrates what is going on in Sacramento and avoids putting a lot of teeth into the speculation.

This space needs to be filled with a new sig...but I'm too lazy to make one.

Yup - I think it will come down to whether Sacramentians are willing to pay for it. And we already know they are not with 80-percent of the votes declining that option.

The Maloofs aren't selling (they've been very clear on that), and there's no chance of the Kings moving there if the Seattle doesn't get a new arena built. Sorry Seattle.
