Jefferson is making too much money to play on second unit. Memo going to come off the bench. Even though he has been clueless on offense, Jefferson's defense has been decent. Let us not forget Memo plays below average defense. Memos shooting will help a bench that has problems scoring.
Top 4 seed in the West!!! Guaranteed!!!

Did you not watch the game tonight? Sloan doesn't play contracts.

Maybe we can play him at the 2 so we can have a SG who can actually shoot....

Memo is going to make Jefferson and Millsap more effective on both ends of the floor. On offense, he spreads the defense and creates mismatches for our 4s to work inside. On defense, he is stable when he bodies up centers and helps team rebound on defense, which will let Al and Paul to come over for helpside blocks, easy rotations, and active rebounds. It's fun to play next to a guy like him when your an inside bruiser.

Jerry needs to split up Millsap and Jefferson as much as possible. Okur will help that happen eventually. Until Memo gets back, I want to see this:

Williams (36) / Price or Watson (12)
Bell (22) / Miles (26)
Kirilenko (32) / Hayward (10) / Evans (6)
Millsap (36) / Jefferson (12)
Jefferson (24) / Fesenko (12) / Elson (12) [later on, Okur (24)]

This needs to happen to reduce the time that Al and Millsap have to share the paint. Ultimately, they will have to learn to play together, but those backup 4 minutes all need to go to Jefferson to split them up as much as possible. It will clear out the interior for both of them to work when its their turn, and it will help define their roles on the team.
In '03-'04, Jerry Sloan coached the ESPN predicted "worst team of all time" to 42-40.

We're going to have to handle Memo's numbers well, I think 24 minutes is just fine first him. Come to the playoffs we can have a rested and (hopefully) healthy Okur.
