Caracter isn't ready and it seems like he is injury prone already, in a suit again last night
Ratlif- looks quite lost out there on both ends of the floor
Artest- evident by Love ownage last night, its fair to say playing Ron at the PF spot isn't a good idea
Bynum- sorry to be a debbie downer but its only a matter of time before he goes down when he does get back


I'm not looking for some beastly backup, I just think we need to carry another big who can play on any given night and be productive, something ratliff is not even close to being.

My guess is DC was in a suit in order to give Luke incorporated with some PT and probably expected more of a gap in the score to give Ebanks some burn which just never happened.

I have not seen any reports saying the reason he was inactive due to injury.

The problem is we are paying through the nose for Luke, so as long as he is healthy - this is our roster. If we manage to ditch Sasha for a pick (*hopefully*) then I'd be open to signing someone, Dampier in particular. If we ditch Sasha we can still alternate the activity of DC and Ebanks until Bynum is back in a month.


It's also, unfortunately, a relatively safe assumption that Luke will be hurt for various long stretches throughout the season so we could roster Dampier and have Ebanks or DC active for those games.

LO - 31 min

That leaves exactly 0 (zero) remaining minutes for Caracter and Theo. Odds are that they will both average a few minutes each game so you you can take a minute or two off of each Pau, Andy and LO.

In other words, NO, we don't need another Big Man.

All we need is a active Caracter to get us through till thanksgiving. Having him deactivated last night almost cost us a game, Luke Walton is not the answer at backup PF.

Even though Artest "can" on some matchups it still kills our rebounding advantage we normally enjoy. Artest is strong enough to hold off most 4s but he's just not a good enough rebounder at that position, which is understandable given he's undersized for a PF. Luke trying to defend and rebound at the 4 is just painful to watch no matter the matchup.

The reality however is more like this:
Pau- 38 mins
Andy- 0 mins
LO- 34 mins

to sign dampier means you have to inactivate two players, and we all know that it wont be luke and sasha.... would be nice to have dampier but its gonna be a steep price, also i dont really want to see dc or ebanks inactivated
oh and dc isnt injured
