Post#1 » by SUN » Sat Nov 13, 2010 4:31 am

How's he doing man? Is he producing? I wanted to ask the Nets fanbase cause you see every game. What's his up's and down's thus far?

Well, he's getting good minutes off the bench, and giving us quality production. Avery said that Murphy's return won't impact that. D-Fav is a difference-maker on the defensive end already, and he's far more competent offensively than for which most people give him credit. Fouls are plaguing him, but that's true of many rookie bigmen. Oh, and his rebound rate is bananas, one of the traits that should make him a good fit next to Brook.

IMO, he hasn't shown the out-of-this-world vertical leap that he showed in HS and at G-Tech, which leads me to believed he has placed to much emphasis on bulking up, and not enough on lean-muscle conditioning. His finishes are still above-the-rim, and it certainly doesn't seem to have affected his efficiency (53%FG, leading rookies). I do think it has kept him from being more of a shot-blocking force.

hes been a surprise for me at least. hes getting minutes and doing good things. his offensive game isnt impressive but hes using his athletic abilities to rebound the ball on both ends, getting a lot of tip ins and doing a great job of working off his teammates for easy dunks. hes also running the floor hard and playing pretty good D

I didnt know what to expect from favors comin into the year but i have to say i like what hes doing so far. i would just like to see more offensive moves but i guess they will develop in time
Playoffs this year, Championship in 5 years.
