The Rockets Drinking Game

I invented this game when Yao was a rookie, Stevie Franchise was the shiz, Moochie had the fro kickin, Cut Mo had some sweet J's, Cato was beasting, & we were reppin the pinstripes. AKA, fun team to watch, but we just weren't that good. Our current team kinda reminds me of those times. So, if you're gonna sit down & endure a Rox game & feel like drinking, CHEERS! It helps take the edge off.


What you will need (per person):
- a 12 pack of your favorite domestic bev (no reason to use the good stuff, i prefer tallboys of Keith Stone)
- 2 shot glasses
- a towel

Set up:
Lay the towel down on a coffee table (cause there will be some slight spillage), fill up your shot glasses, & get ready. It helps if you have a small cooler with ice next to you, but if not, have 2 cans at your disposal at all times.

The Rules (which apply ONLY to the Rockets, not the other team):
- If we win the tip-off (I know that's a big if) drink 2 shots.
- 2 pt field goal, drink 1 shot
- 3 ptr, 2 shots
- If we get fouled while taking a shot & the shot is no good, resulting in 2 free throws, the
player MUST make both ft's to drink. 1 shot
- If fouled and the basket is good & player makes the ft, 1 extra shot
- Unforced turnover by other team, 1 shot
- Any steal, block, or dunk, 2 shots
- Alley-oop, 3 shots
- Tech foul, basket made, 1 shot

Try to refill the shot glass immediately after drinking it. Shots are owed if someone misses it by going to bathroom or the fridge, taking a phone call or texting, etc. DVR capability helps as you can always pause it.


That's it. If I remember some obscure rule next time I play, I will edit this post. This game is fun if you're by yourself, but if you can grab some friends to play, even better.
