Detroit is closing in on a multi-year deal with free agent slugger Adam Dunn. Sports Illustrated's Jon Heyman reports the talks between both parties "appear serious." The deal could be four years, according to reports.

Dunn is the type of hitter we need. Patient, consistent and has great power.
I'd be happy if we sign him at the 4/50 range, but no more than 4 years. I want Crawford too, I just don't think Jackson can replicate his rookie season. We need some table setters toot with Damon gone now as well.
