Troll here. Why hasn't he played yet for the Rockets? Is he injured?

He is in the D League to get some playing time

Only 3 games so far, but you can see he is adjusting and improving. The Rockets can call him back at any time.

He's not playing because he isn't better than Chuck Hayes or Jordan Hill. Most Rockets fans knew he'd see very little if any playing time because of that.
Barring a trade or injury, he might not get to play in any games this year. Not so much because he's bad, but simply because other guys are better.

I'm not concerned though. I like what I've seen from him so far and this isn't the first time a Rockets rookie had to wait for an opportunity to get playing time (see Brooks & Landry).

I wonder whose decision it was for Patterson to develop a 3 point shot. I'd rather him be a power 4 that can occasionally hit the mid range jumper while also be in position for offensive rebounds than be a stretch 4. He just looks too physical to play on the perimeter. But i guess Jordan Hill fits the mold of what I described and Patterson being a stretch 4 will compliment Hill and Yao.

I would love for him to become a David West type of PF. I'm not saying he'll be an all-star but I wouldn't mind a David West Jr. though.

Larry Sanders was taken 15th right after Patterson
last night he had 14 points, 10 rebounds and 8 BLOCKS vs Denver
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

Patterson has more potential than Hill even with the limited minutes or times that i've seen him play. I hope we don't trade him.

His d-league stats are impressive after five games.

He was expected to be one of the most able-to-contribute-now players prior to the draft (though so was Evan Turner), I wonder when he'll get some burn this season. He has an interesting skill-set, a hustle player with OK athleticism and has the ability to hit from the perimeter. He reminds/reminded me a bit of Millsap, but with Scola, Hill, Hayes, Miller at the big man positions, I guess it's understandable he isn't getting any minutes.

He is coming back to the team on Sunday. Don't get too excited about the stats. Joey Dorsey averaged 13 pts and 12 rebs as a Viper. Should send Budinger to the Valley in his place to get some confidence back and give PP some minutes at the 3. Glad to see Garrett Temple back in the organization too.
