Westhoff said Cotchery will be the punt returner, and Holmes + Cromartie will get involved w/2-deep returns. #nyj

Cotchery's coming back from an injury. I don't see why we can't use Brad Smith. And seriously...Joe McKnight and Kyle Wilson can't beat an injured Cotchery on punt returns?

Best wishes to Jim!

I think McKnight and Wilson wont be back there because of the weather and the magnitude of the game. They havent been used there yet in the regular season (McKnight) or looked very shaky (Wilson). Good decision by the coaching staff.
Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things. And no good thing ever dies...

Not even Brad Smith? I know he takes snaps on the offense, but he's not an every down player.

The bigger hit is defense though. Eric Smith is a hard hitter (I'm sure Welker knows), but we need him, Pool, and Ihedigbo to step up here. I wouldn't be surprised if they slide Lowery back there for a few snaps.

It's time for Lowery to learn the Safety position. Leonhard was a huge lose because with that we also lost all of the communication in the secondary. Smith is a jag and can't cover to save his freakn life (he is a good run stuffer, but is just horrible in coverage).

This team needs to make some serious strides in the offseason because we desperately need to upgrade our front 7, and we need a safety with some range who can cover.
