OT - Hornets on the move?

Post#1 » by Mr. E » Mon Dec 6, 2010 9:51 pm

With the NBA buying and taking over the New Orleans Hornets, will we see the franchise moved to a new home?

I think that they will make all of the "right" statements about having no intention of moving the team; but they will be looking into places like St. Louis, Las Vegas and Kansas City.

If they do move, I don't think that they'll go to Seattle. I don't think that the NBA returns there until after Stern is gone.

Yeah i thought if they were going to move them it would be to the NW and move OKC to the SW, but evidently that's just not the case. And I would much rather not have the SW Division become that much tougher.

The Bud Adams of the NBA. I don't blame Chris Paul for not wanting to be part of an organization run by an owner like this.

Las Vegas is probably the most likely.

Kansas City -- Maybe, they built a big arena a few years ago with the intention of it hosting an NBA or NHL team.

St. Louis -- Highly doubtful. Crumbling economy, nobody cares much about sports there except baseball.

You bastard.

Any true Houstonian reflexively throws up when they see that name and you KNOW it

I reported the post to TMU. No one should ever use the name "Bud Adams" for any reason in Houston.

...dammit! I just did it! OK, better report myself. I accept my upcoming banishment from this forum with a heart full of contrition.

I'm tempted to excuse you due to a combination of the inadvertency, jetpack-defending ray gun thing, and the Butters avatar - but just can't bring myself to do so.

The name which shall not be named is one of the words that this board cannot bear!
