COUSINS WON'T START !

According to JASON JONES twitter SACBEE writer PW will not start COUSINS until he acts proffesional !
PW is using the fact COUSINS used the choke sign in the game as the reason . This is bull though I agree COUSINS should not have done that however it seems to me PW uses COUSINS alot as a scapegoat as if PW has some authority I think he does this to make himself appear to his bosses PETRIE & THE MALOOFS that he has the team under control & the respect of his players .

These actions by PW is pathetic the guy sucks & just needs to go !

By the way anyone who wants to link J.JONES post feel free ...

agreed.. i don't think it was that big a deal to bench him.. there are a very few good things about the team this season and cousins dominant/intimidating behavior is one of them.. we need someone like that.. as such the team is a joke around the league..

players sometime make hard fouls to break other team's rhythm.. that is all part of the game.. westphal is a crying baby.. jerk can't do things right what he is paid for and on the contrary is killing players confidence..

For sure 1 thing this team has lacked for several of years is toughness !
DC definatly provides this ! In the NBA when you have guys who will show toughness ala the old PISTONS with RODMAN , LAMBEER etc. it brings in success guys get more intimidated driving the lane , throwing the elbow , pushing off etc. when you have guys known for not taking that b.s.

I love DC style of play more so I love his winning attitude & how he takes losing so seriously & to heart he has alot of passion for the game .

People need to stop mistaking PASSION for ATTITUDE !

Wow, I can agree what he did was childish but benching him??? Man, good to let Demarcus know, but benching him??? I don't know about this. Everytime Cousins does ANYTHING it seems like it gets blown out of proportion and while the idea of "sending a message" is OK this is not the right way to do it IMO. What about when Dalembert does that X thing with his arms after a block??? Is that not the same kind of thing. This is just a power move on Westphals part and it's looking more and more like Cousins is going to be the scapegoat when Westphal sees the opening. Don't like it, great way to destroy a team. Hmmm...been there done that huh coach?

Didn't need to be, handle it INTERNALLY. Fine him, don't send him to the bench because he was "unprofessional". That just makes it look way worse than it was. Wonder how Westphal would have coached Artest. Me thinks he'd be given a pass on most of the stuff he did. :roll:

Hahahaha! Dalembert and Landry will start tomorrow. Whatever it takes to get his "boys" in there. It's just becoming comical at this point. Westphals heart might be in the right place, but jesus man, you're DOING WAY MORE HARM THAN GOOD!

Cousins thinks he if they won he wouldn't have been disciplined. Was Cousins a jackass? Yes. But I'm telling you all right now, if Westphal doesn't go and soon, it won't just be the on court product suffering. We can't afford to have fracturing in the youth department. It's all this franchise has! :evil:

I'm waiting for Petrie to fine Westphal for being clueless. Is that legal?

Coming off the bench is not too big a deal. He will learn and move on. Nothing wrong with knocking people down.

Webber/Vlade/Miller all knocked people down in the paint.

Cousins needs to knock people down.

The hardest thing for young guys is to learn to play under control. It takes time.

there was nothing wrong or unprofessional in what cousins did.. many players around the league do it.. there is no point in making a big deal out of it and portraying cousins as the bad guy to the world.. as such many in league think he is a headcase..

as pointed above.. if westphal would have coached artest, artest would have always warmed the bench..

one question : if kings had won last game.. would cousins still be penalized?? mostly not.. poor chap..

Yeah it is because a coach with such little leg to stand on sending a message like this can be DESTRUCTIVE. I'm hoping Petrie gets off his lazy ass here soon, but I'm not wrong about this either. Unfortunately.

Paul Westphal needs to just fine the dude not bench him wtf! Yes it was embarrassing that he did that and lost but hey he's a student of the game. He's just doing what he grew up watching.....

No he wouldn't have. Something tells me there would have been a different reaction on Westphals part.
