League MVP

Post#1 » by nghedman » Thu Dec 23, 2010 2:02 pm

I was just checking out the NBA.com mvp race. Check it out, it's interesting. I like the focus on Ginobli with the SPurs winning so well and all, but one has to look at D-Will. If you compare stats of their top ten D-Will has the best stats of all of them, and he Jazz are winning too! My opinion is an MVP's of the league should make their teams win and if not are they truely an MVP. The next closest to D-Will is ..... you guessed it Lebrone James. The other factor I think is critical for an MVP is free throw percentage. weird but true. It just says how good a player is as an MVP type player. Is he a go-to guy, the make-it-when-you-need-it guy, when the game is on the line free throws win it, the mental toughness, .... all that stuff for a truely elite player. Ginobli has this toughness too eh? But as an MVP I'd say Deron Williams has it right now or should.

Especially when he got snupped a few years back for the all stars under I think it was Parker, and the reason was.... well, he has better stats and all but he is young give it to someone else that is older and has been waiting longer for it. Lame!

LeQueen Jane's probably the most flat out anti-ethic, dangerous, narcicist, distasteful, objectionable, obnoxious, disagreeable dude the league has seen in recent generations. So probably he will win it. Who cares what kind of role models are thrown out there for people to support?

Deron Williams's just too rough, too man of his own, too hard worker, too leader-minded, too "human", for the league to recognize him. It's business, you know? Deron's chances fo an MVP are probably lesser than Jerry's for CoY... and that's to say something.
