Hawks decide to re-sign Damien Wilkins

Post#1 » by SAUCERY_SWEET » Sat Jan 8, 2011 3:34 pm

To another 10-day contract, he is a long and disruptive defensive player. Just call it an early B-Day present, he turns 31 on the 11th.

Nique probably will have a pep in his step tonight. :D

I don't understand? Did we waive him so not to pay him for the whole year or are getting ready to package some guy together for a future trade? thoughts :o :o

Yes, that is exactly what we did. We didn't want to have to pay him for the whole year.

Not exactly. What this does is allow the Hawks to prolong the decision to guarantee Wilkin's contract until near the end of January as opposed to the beginning of January.

It's irrelevant as long as the Wilkins stays healthy.
