OT - Michigan Hires Brady Hoke

Super pumped they didn't get Miles. I have to imagine there is going to be a mass exodus after this hire. I can't see The Nard Dog being too pumped about Hoke being his new coach. I'm not sure of Hoke's offensive philosphy but I have to imagine the'll be moving away from the spread which will result in a lot of transfers and a complete rebuild. Hopefully Michigan continues to flounder, especially since they are in the Legends division with Minnesota.

Wait I thought I just saw that they hired Les Miles? What happened with that? Sorry I don't keep up with college too much, but I swear that's what I saw lol.

They interviewed Miles, didn't hire him.

A Michigan fan friend of mine told me recently "Brady Hoke will not be our next coach. If he is, I will be shocked and appalled."

I asked him if he was shocked and appalled? His only response was that he'd rather have Hoke than Miles.

I think Hoke would be a good hire for your average Big Ten team (ie Minnesota), but I think this hire really shows how far Michigan has fallen. When they fired Lloyd Carr they basically had their pick from the best up and coming BCS Bowl Coaches (Rich Rod), now this time around they are scrambling for mid major coaches after they were turned down by the premiere coaches around the country. Michigan isn't the prestigious program it once was.

1) Good hire
2) Les Miles was probably given a interview so Michigan could turn him down for being a douche

He did great in San Diego. Many sad about this out here.

Michigan got themselves a solid coach. Robinson will stay and Hoke will get that program rolling again. I don't know if conference championships will start until a few years down the road.
