Indy clips fan here

Post#1 » by Reginique » Fri Jan 14, 2011 4:18 am

I'm a pacers fan, but I bought the league pass this year so I could follow Eric Gordon. I have watched pretty much every game thus far & I'm actually starting to like the clips more than my own team. You guys have the most exciting group of young talent in the league, & it's been so fun watching them come together to become one of the deepest teams in the league. That depth was evident last night in the way the clips just ran them out of the gym, then withstood that ferocious comeback attempt. How great was it to see Bron not only get beat, but roll his ankle right after talking about karma coming back & biting his former team? I think the clips would be at top of the west if they hadn't gotten off to such a slow start, but hopefully they can stay hot & wiggle into the playoffs! Good luck from here on out & congrats on the huge win last night.

I'm glad that you're taking a liking to the Clippers. We are not always an exciting team year in and year out, but this year is just one of those years. We had a pretty exciting team back in the early 2000s. As long as we keep our young core and a healthy Baron we will be an exciting team.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

Nice to see fans from all across the nation. You really produced a hell of a player in Eric Gordon, I'll tell you that. You're right about the slow start, though, but I wouldn't focus on that, and would just focus on the games and enjoying the development of our young players this year. The team has a great future.

Thanks for the post! This team is coming around, just like our young 2000-2001 team started coming on strong later in the year.

Welcome to RealGM. I have to say that I love the support that EJ gets from his hometown fans. It seems that all Indiana players have a great sense of home pride. I just hope that he'll want to be here long-term in spite of his love for Indiana and his parents wishes. I've been a fan of his since seeing him play in high school and was thrilled when we were able to draft him.

Thanks for the well wishes and it's great to see you take an interest in this team. I hope it continues :)

Eric Gordon is starting to build the confidence that he can take over any quarter and seems to conserve himself for late in the games. A true transformation from a role player to a closer and assassin will find any and every way to score in games.
