The Spurs have been the most consistent fourth-quarter team in the NBA this season.

Although the Spurs do not have the biggest fourth-quarter point differential among contenders, they are 27-1 when leading after three quarters.

Most impressively, they are 7-5 when trailing after three quarters including a 4-4 mark on the road.

Matt Moore of Pro Basketball Talk.com analyzed those statistics and came to the conclusion that the Spurs were the most effective team in the league.

As would be expected from the team with the best record in the league, the Spurs have the best record in both categories.

That's been obvious this year. Seems like we close games out really well. Offensively in the 4th quarter, we look real disciplined. It's one of the reason why I think we (fans) are confident when the games are close entering the 4th quarter and it's not on a b2b.

This is so true, but it's also the whole team discipline shining through as well. When measuring Manu's worth as a bball player, his 4th quarter play has to be the main focus. Rarely makes a poor decision.
