GAME PREVIEW

Image

The Golden State Warriors have received a nice boost off the bench in their last two games. The Indiana Pacers are looking for any kind of lift as they continue a western trip.

The Warriors try to win a season high-tying third in a row Wednesday night when they face a Pacers team coming off one of its worst defensive effort of the season.

Averaging a Western Conference-worst 24.0 points off the bench, Golden State (17-23) hopes for another big effort from its substitutes as it continues a five-game homestand and a stretch of 13 of 14 at Oracle Arena.

Led by Reggie Williams(notes), the Warriors’ reserves have accounted for more than 25 points in back-to-back games for the first time since late November. They shot 52.6 percent from the field in those victories, including 8 of 15 on 3-point attempts.

After Williams scored 16 points and Vladimir Radmanovic(notes) added 13 off the bench in Friday’s 122-112 win over the Los Angeles Clippers, Williams had 12 and fellow backup Acie Law(notes) added eight - one off his season high - in a 109-100 victory over New Jersey on Monday.

“We expect that night in and night out from (Williams),” said starter Stephen Curry(notes), who has played six fewer minutes than his teammate over the last two games due to foul trouble and defensive matchups.

“He made some big shots. In the fourth quarter, he always comes out and makes a big shot for us, especially when we really need it.”

TEAM REPORTS

Image

Indiana

-G Darren Collison scored a season-high 30 points on 10-of-17 shooting. He had 19 points in the first half.
"Regardless if you score 30 or five points, if you lose, especially if the game is close and on the road, it deflates you," Collison said.

-F Danny Granger had his best scoring game in almost two months when he finished with 32 points on 9-of-16 shooting. What was even more impressive about Granger's performance is that he only attempted six three-pointers, making four of them.

-G Mike Dunleavy didn't do anything to help the Pacers. He was 1-of-10 from the field, including 0-of-5 on three-pointers, 22 minutes. His only two points came on a baseline jump shot in the third quarter.

Golden State

-G Monta Ellis had just one turnover in 42 minutes in Monday's win over the Nets. The Warriors committed just six turnovers in the game, a season-low.

-C Andris Biedrins blocked three shots, moving him into eighth place on the Warriors' all-time list, passing Clifford Ray. Biedrins has 467 career blocks.

-G/F Reggie Williams had 12 points off the bench. He has scored in double figures in consecutive games, his first back-to-back 10-plus sequence since doing it seven consecutive times from Dec. 8-21.

The Philadelphia native guided the 76ers to the playoffs with a 43-39 record, a 10 win improvement from the previous season.

There's a 50% chance Hibbert starts for "matchup reasons".

I'm holding back vomit.

They just said on the radio that Hibbert is sick and is doubtful. They didn't mention matchup issue as a reason.

He's not sick. JOB is just messin with his mind. I expect to get blown out with no Hibbert. Without him our defense is terrible.

10-10 early on. Both teams flying down the court as expected and both shooting pretty well early on.

PSYCHO T with a sick putback! Watching him recently makes me question more and more why McBob started for so long.

Hibbert "sick?"

My guess not--I think that pile of **** O'Brien has now completed his destruction of our once-promising young center... :banghead:

I hope we lose every game from now on until even Larry finally realizes Obie is worthless and fires the incompetent before he completely destroys any and all young talent on this team...

C'mon, Larry, what is it going to take to finally convince you that you need to get rid of this bum?

Nope, never had tangerines. Just the first thing that came to mind. Heard they're pretty sour though.

And Roy better be puking his guts out (sounds weird, I know.) But if JOB is doing ANY of this to F with Roy's head, I'm want to kick the crap out of him even more. I can't even stand looking at him on my TV.
