OT: Most half court shots made in a minute

Green Bay guard Eric Valentin says he has a knack for nailing half-court shots. The Orlando, Fla. native decided that he wanted to break the Guiness world record for most half-court shots in a minute.

Valentin had to beat Washington State student Charlie Vernon's record of seven half-court shots.

"I'm going to get this," Valentin said before the clock started. "I'm getting in that world record book."

Valentin drained eight half-court shots out of 19 attempted, the eighth going in at the last second.

Pretty epic from half court, I remember Howard trying this sitting down a while ago, last all-star weekend or maybe the one before.

When I was about 15 or 16 I hit 3 in a row from half court trying to show off to some chick, after I made the 3rd in a row I stopped and said that is enough.

Also, on VC and long jumpers, I remember when he came to Australia back in 2000 before the Sydney Olympics for a Team USA v Australia warm up game and in warm ups he was taking and hitting jumpers from about a metre inside the half court line with ease.
