West Coast Road Trip Expectations

Post#1 » by BigSlam » Mon Jan 24, 2011 6:21 pm

What are your thoughts? We wanted to win 1 of the 3 Vs the Bulls, Celts and Hornets and came away with 1 (although it should have been 2!!).

What are we aiming for on this road trip against the Kings, the Suns (back to back), the Warriors, the Clippers (back to back), the Jazz and finally the Pistons?

mikecranston1 Silas says he'd accept 3-3 as #Bobcats play at SAC, PHX, GS, LAC, UTA and DET over 9 days. "Anything above that would be a great trip"

Without Tyrus, 3-3 would be quite nice. 2-4 would be disappointing but not heartbreaking. If we win 1 or 0, I'll be quite sad. The Clippers are on a tear though...

3-3? Silas is a sensible man if nothing else.

I like our chances against Sac, Phx and Det if Wallace and Jackson decide to show up. None of these games are against world beaters, but LAC is playing good ball and the Jazz in SLC will be tough, but they're 4-6 over the last 10.

Who knows, though. Unfortunately, in typical Bobcats fashion - we're capable of beating all of these teams or none of them - especially if Jax/Wallace were to shoot absurdly bad - like 3-30 from the field, which would never happen - right? right?

We might have a chance if this turns more serious. I'm not hoping for injury, but what happens happens.

Griffin will destroy us on the boards and the scoreboard, with or without Gordon. I am pessimistic now about this team, so my sad prediction is 1-5.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

I think you would have to consider 3-3 a success. While these teams are not TOUGH by any means, of coures outside of Utah, it is still the road for us and on the west coast. I think we defiantly have a chance to go 5-1, but you know that we won't do that. We had a chance to win 2-3 from the previous swing, and we saw how that turne dout. I agree with Silas, 3-3 would be good, 2-4 would be a big disapointing, anything less than 2 wins would be devasting. If we got less than 2 wins, then I think we see a trade that blows the team up. If we get 4 wins or more, then it's a GREAT trip and this team stays together. Really a big road trip for all parties...especialy on the trade front.

Agreed

Its not so much the quality of teams we're playing as it is the scheduling of it all. We've got 4 games in 5 days... thats rough on any team, especially one thats banged up, on the road, still adjusting to a new coach, lacking depth inside, and as issues getting its two best players on the same page.

Through absolute sleep deprivation over the next 4 days I expect to be completely unapproachable by Sunday.

I want at least 3-3.

I'm guessing maybe 2-4, but I would be disappointed with that.

Maybe getting away from home and clearing their heads will wake Jackson and Wallace up.

Looks like the Clipps will be without their starting SG when we play them.
