I have been a Jazz fan for nearly 20 years now. It has been years with huge excitement and just plain depressing years. But through both the ups and the downs, I have always been proud to be a Jazzfan. Even though players have come and gone, I have always had confidence in the organization, Sloan and Sloan's system, and I think those have been the primary reason why the Jazz has consistently delivered competitive basketball through the years. I have always known that Sloan will eventually retire but that it would be on his terms and his time.
Players come and go, but the organization stays. This was a huge failure of the organization. Deron should have been suspended for his behaviour during the Bulls game, but the organization didn't have the balls. What happened is a disgrace. It is a disgrace for the organization and it is a disgrace for basketball. It is a disgrace that the organization allowed a punk like Deron to have enough influence to cause Sloan to retire. Not on Sloan's terms, not on Sloan's time, but on Deron's time.
Where does the organization go from here? How does it gain respect among players, coaches and the league, if it can't stand up to a punk like Deron?
All you Deron fans may rejoice but for us Jazzfans it is a sad day.

It really is when schmucks like you are insistent on further damaging the franchise with your negativity and spreading of false hearsay.
