Wes Johnson

Post#1 » by jazzfan1971 » Tue Feb 15, 2011 1:51 am

Iv'e got him on a fantasy team and it seems to me that he nearly always misses his first shot of the game. I'm sure he hits a few, but, I'd wager that first shot % is far less than his overall FG%. I'm just wondering if anyone has any insight on why that might be? Just a rookie thing? Or a system thing? Or is he just hopped up on RedBull to start games?

I really hope you don't mind my venting...

But, 0-6 and 1-2 from the line? Are you trying to throw my week Wesley???

Well, it is a 20 team league with 13 players per team and about 15 on the injured list. So, about 275 players are taken. Is he top 275? Some days I wonder. Have rather played a corpse today.

The corpse would have gotten you less turnovers.

Rambis is very hard on him. There is a chance he will regain his PT after the trade deadline, but it is a small chance. His upside is too good to drop in a 20 team league, and he gets blocks and 3's at least from a g/f spot.

Rambis is a terrible coach for fantasy b-ball owners at the guards spots.

I bet owners loved Cory Brewer's 0/2 with 3 TO's, 0 pts rebs asts stils or blocks he put up the other night too. If he were a quarterback he'd have had a zero passer rating.

If you add Corey Brewer to your fantasy team, you deserve to lose every week, and you have no right to complain.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

Someone here who will remain nameless added brewer in one of our leagues. :D

I have Wes in our 14 team league, and he's been on my pine for a while now, and I've considered dropping him several times, but I have homer goggles I guess.
I started him this week because he plays 2 games, beasley's injured, and my alts had 1 game (short week). bad decision I guess.

Brewer was on and off my fantasy team multiple times. I'm pretty sure he is still on my team along with Webster and Wes. I haven't looked at my team in weeks but I sure hope Brewer has not been starting. Either way I took too many risks in the draft and screwed my team over right away. So I figured I might as well have some Wolves on the team.

*nm Brewer is not on my team anymore. Someone else picked him up after I waived him in mid dec.

** haha now that person just waived him.

Yup, I had him in both leagues, but quickly waived him once I discovered that.

This is Wes related, so I'll put it in here:

Teammate Wes Johnson also will represent the Wolves in Los Angeles. He's playing in Friday night's rookie-sophomore game.

Somebody asked Love what advice he has for his teammate.

"He made it as a rookie," said Love, who wasn't invited to play when he was a rookie but played for the sophomore team last season, "so he should be giving me advice."

I would say a sg who can create his own shot, preferably young.
