Players passed their physicals

Post#1 » by Webbula » Sat Feb 26, 2011 10:40 pm

For anyone who cares, all the players passed their physicals. However, Perkins is expected to miss 2-3 weeks. This according to News 9 here in OKC. http://www.okblitz.com/Article.aspx?id=35114

Also, Darnell Mayberry, the Thunder beat writer for the Daily Oklahoman has been tweeting some quotes from Perkins about the situation. He says that Perkins stated he's had interest in OKC since last year, and knowing his contract was expiring, said this was his first option. I'm assuming that means his first option if Boston wouldn't resign him.

Perkins also said he is hopeful of signing an extension this summer.

Here is Darnell's twitter page where he's been posting the Perkins info. http://twitter.com/#!/DarnellMayberry

Guess we wait and see now.

nice, thanks for the info. Im looking forward to watching Nazr play, and eventually Perkins. We really need their defense.

So that means Perks is out for the next 10 games or so.
Hmm, we really need to man it up til then with Nazr and Cole in the middle and hope that Perks can have a fast impact once he is healthy.
He needs to mash with everyone, learn the system, get the chemistry, etc before playoffs start.
He'll have about 15 games to do so.
Life may not be the party we hoped for but while we are here we might as well dance!
