Ed Lucus pushing Diory Hernandez for final bech spot...

He looked pretty good in the games I saw him play at Champions Stadium. 4 rbi and 1 K in 7 spring training games.

Projected bench: Ross, Conrad, Hinske, Mather, Hernandez/Lucus

I hope our bench can defend well and provide us with some offense when we need it. Conrad being there concerns me, but I hope he put his poor performance during the postseason behind him, and just focuses to improve. The last thing we need is the mind games to occur.

Ed Lucus seems like he can be a big help, but I need to see him play more.

So far Lucus has been holding it down with the bat and defense. One of the games I went to, Brooks had an error. Diory has had a good spring, 1 dbl 2 trpls this spring and has played solid defense so far.
