Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Denver Nuggets 04/5/2010

Post#1 » by CKRT » Tue Apr 5, 2011 9:27 pm

This game(and the next one against them) is very important for the division. That loss to the Clippers put the Nuggets into a decent chance at stealing the division from us. Not only is the division on the line but we get to see how we match up against the new Nuggets since they will very likely be playing us in the playoffs. They are a very deep team that could easily upset us in the first round.

Game starts at 8.

Thunder will come out fired up, this is most important game so far this season.
Not only can they seal theoretically the 4th seat, but they can measure themselves to their playoff opponent in their building.

MUST win!

My prediction OKC 97 Denver 88

i consider this a must win too considering we only lost 3 games in a row once this season so we should come out fired up
i hope we win and cool them off!!!

Durant has never won in Denver. We once lost in Denver 168-116.

We lose quite easily tonight

This game is not a must win, nor should it be. But it'd be a tough loss coming at the heels of two largely uninspired efforts.

I hope the team brings their game that resembled @MIA. They have a big problem losing focus and breaking down.

With two days off in a row we shouldn't be as tired as we were in those last two games. Watching everyone play (outside Ibaka) the last games was brutal. No one was hustling, no one was working for rebounds, no one was driving inside.

Fatigue affects everyone, even young teams

And you're right, this is far from a must win. When we lose tonight it's going to be trendy thing for everyone to pick DEN over us in the playoffs though. That will be annoying to sit through for 3 weeks

I usually know when the team is ready or not and I think we are tonight. I see a solid 8-10 point win.

Er... until we beat them at home in a few days?

I don't think this game is impossible to win. I like the matchups but they will have to play like they want it.

Same here, same here.
My feelings are based on feelings and my feelings (almost) never fail me.
We are ready and we are the better team.
Denver is on a nice streak and they are a surprisingly strong team since the trade of Melo, but we are still the better team.

This will either be a great statement win or a discouraging loss.

No in-between.

The same could be stated from Denver's perspective.

I really hope Russ decides to play defense today.

Thunder couldn't have asked for a better first quarter.

27-16 after 12 mins.
So far so good.
Although we had some silly turnovers, we are playing good D and hitting enough shots.
Got to keep this 10-12 points lead in the 2nd Q.

Interesting line up by Karl to start the second quarter. Lawson and Felton together and Koufos at center.

Lots of 3 point shooting by OKC in the early going of the second.
