OT: Should L.A. be worried about Wells?

Post#1 » by LittleOzzy » Tue May 3, 2011 11:03 pm

What is the likely outcome in L.A. if Wells continues to play how he is?

Do they trade him? Bench him? Does the General Manager get fired? What about the Team Manager?

How long until L.A. hits the panic button?

Or does leading a weak division save them from any criticism?

Fire the GM and stick him with the bill.

Seriously, I'd be tempted to give VDub his outright release.

Maybe the worst trade ever.

That trade would have looked even better for tha JAYS if AA had kept Mike Napoli....... he could basically have been our DH instead of Encanarcion....Napoli is young and a power bat with below average defence, yet still better than EE..... perfect DH

either way JAYS would have won even if they got nothing but Juan Rivera...... Epic FAIL for Angels

if AA didn't sign E5 before the trade, i'm sure AA would have kept Napoli.

I would like Wells to do well in LA, but i'm just glad he's not in Toronto anymore

I dont want this board to become the Raptors board. Hence, we should stop having Bosh type threads for players that arent on the Jays anymore.

If by 'be worried' you mean be 'completely certain that AA **** them in the ass with that trade' - then yes.

This was foreseeable. He's an aging player in a terrible park for offense. Can't say I care much what he does or what the Angels do with him.

There's nothing wrong with that (there's actually nothing wrong with that on the Raps board either). A mods job isn't to decide what people want to discuss, but just to make sure nothing gets out of hand.

Clearly people want to discuss Wells... hell he had almost been the face of our franchise for years. So just let them...
