Berkman ahead of Bautista? I don't get it.

Post#1 » by ntorvik » Sat May 21, 2011 2:40 pm

I can't quite figure out how/why Berkman still comes in the top spot on this. I like looking at this stat and I think it has some pretty good/insightful information about the players, but I just can't figure out for the life of me how/why Bautista isn't in the top spot. The only thing that he doesn't have is the RBI, which isn't his fault, it's the Blue Jays fault, right? I mean, they just don't put guys on base in front of him, it's kind of ridiculous really. I would think that they would go out of their way to find someone to get on in front of him, but not just yet I guess.

Now that I actually look at that list, wtf kind of criteria are they using? By what crazy math is Youkillis a better hitter than Gonzo or Votto?
