Lets get Dalembert here

Post#1 » by ATL Boy » Mon Jun 13, 2011 12:31 am

Just wanted to get your opinion on a trade. What do you guys think of Josh and Marvin for Dalembert, Casspi, and a 2012 first round pick? We get a legit center in Dalembert, Casspi is like Marvin only with range (plus we shed Marvin's contract), and we get a first rounder (it might even a lottery pick) in a very strong draft class. What's your feedback?

In_sane.

Dalembert can be had for cash, maybe even the MLE. We're paying for .... what?

And Dalembert is NOT a "legit center." If he were, PHI wouldn't hate him so much. They're still desperate for a Center, yet they got tired of his poor BBIQ. He aint worth Josh Smith, come on.

Now, I'd pay the MLE for him. He'd be a nice upgrade from Zaza/Collins.

Dalembert was becoming a cancer on Philly. He wanted the ball more on offense and Philly was unable to provide him with the touches he wanted. Dalembert started to separate the locker room with some of the comments me made to the media, so that's one of the main reasons why he was moved, and Philly still has a huge hole at the 5.

Dalembert has been linked to New York.

I don't think he's much of an upgrade at center for us.... I'd pass

The guy gives you 8/8 in 24 mpg. He is not going to get better....turnovers slightly higher than blocks.

If you sign him at a Zaza salary level for 2 years, I could see him helping some.

Don't expect big minutes or big numbers. Definitely the 5th option on offense.

He is a decent backup, maybe your 5th starter.

He is NOT worth Josh Smith.

I think a better deal for both teams would be:

ATL sends Hinrich + 2012 2nd to SAC for Daly + Casspi

* Casspi wants out + They get something for Daly + They need a veteran PG that can get them out the cellar and also allows Tyreke to play SG and be a star...

I would swap him for Zaza in a S&T and would love to get Casspi for an included first. His shot blocking presence is worth having and 8/8 is about all the Hawks need. He would basically give us a dbl-dbl with more minutes. Josh for him is albatross overpay.

Dalembert can be Tyson Chandler for a playoff team, but Hawks still need a Rick Carlisle

It's easier for Carlisle -- he has a great bench.

It's like a baseball manager pulling Tommy Hanson and replacing him with Craig Kimbrel.
