We need Pat on the bench, that simple

Post#1 » by WadeInTheWater » Mon Jun 13, 2011 2:50 am

I knew Spo's ineptness at key situations could possibly cost us the title, how this team got beat the way they did is mind numbing.

Fantastic season none the less and lets fire spo and go again next season.

Congratulations Mavs, executed incredibly with limited talent when compared to the Heat.

Spo's lack of experience was shining threw this series. BUT, he is going to analyze wtf went wrong this series like crazy and will learn from it.

I hate Spoelstra. Trust me. I started a fire Spoelstra thread that god over 100 pages of replies, but I think we need to give him one more year. If we don't win a championship after that, hire Phil Jackson.

NO.

Just NO.

Why waste another year of these guys primes so we witness another trainwreck in slow motion ?

He DOES NOT LEARN from mistakes. He's so set in his ways, he needed 5 horrible games from Bibby to react.

What's he gonna do ? React to Carlisle adjustments in the next finals ?

we do not need pat riley on the bench, it's the same system - he would have just provided better motivation, Eric is running his version of pat riley system

We dont need Pat, Spo will continue to grow, for him to bring this depleted team to where we stood today is quite the accomplishment. With more pieces our team will thrive Spo is not the problem.

Spo proved me right!! Awww the man is so predictable!

- Our offense has been pathetic all season and it showed in the NBA finals. Its ISO or 1 on 5 basketball every time. The only reason we got past Chicago and Boston was the fact LeBron was crazy from 3 point land. Heat don't have anything to get people open. You watch Dallas you see an offense.

-Leaving Mike Bibby in the starting line, even after the Mavs put in JJ. That move right there was huge for Dallas.

-How about keeping the pack the paint defense? Dallas were getting open looks thanks to that great D. This was huge....We all said it before the series and still Spo didn't notice. Dallas is a 3 point shooting team and we played right into their hands.

-Where was Eddie House all series?

-How about those sets out of timeout? Off the top of my head, I'm thinking were 3 point jumpers. LOL

Spo trolled us during the course of these playoffs, he's incompetent. Period.

Also we missed a **** load of FT's.

Spoelstra needs to learn how to adjust and freakin' put in an offensive system.

Game 6 wasn't his fault though. TO's and missed FT's were. WHich is pathetic, the FT's anyway when the refs were basically giving the game to the Heat.

But the Heat also need better personnel.

What are you suppose to do with a player like Bibby? He was the starting PG, can't play defense and you had to stick with him.

Spo made the right move to start Chalmers, but no good back up PG. Eddie can just hit 3's..

No offense, but I bet you're a kid (you overreact at times and hurry with your thoughts instead of distilling them a little first).

For example, you contradict yourself - either you HAVE to stick with Bibby, or it's better to start Chalmers. Which is it ? Spoelstra took 5 games to realize Bibby is a corpse. I appreciate him giving up 6 mil to play for the Heat, but he should have been the back-up and Chalmers the starter.

Pat Riley on the bench and we win this series. Simple. Just as it was simple in '06.

Its better to have Pat Riley in the front office then it is to have him as coach. Just throw a big contract at Adelman

Adelman instead of Spo??? Yes please this team on offense would get 130 points a night with him.

You mean on a slow night, right ?
:D

Adelman with this much talent would be shooting fish in a barrel. By mid-season he might be so bored he might intentionally play 4 against 5 on offense so he has a challenge. He might tell Joel Anthony to not even cross into the other half - just stay back on defense and cut possible fastbreaks.

I doubt Pat fires his protege though, which is unfortunate because this team has many more "Layers" to uncover.

This team got this far on talent alone. Imagine an offense where you get open layups and easy baskets. Every single point we relied on one of the big 3 to get the shooter open. It was pretty sad to watch. Our D was good this year but alot of it had to do with effort, not style. We packed the paint against the one team who you showed protect the 3pt line.

Return to Miami Heat
