Do The Jazz Consider the 2012 Draft...

when drafting this year? I understand the GW pick is top 7protected, and the FO would love for us to be in the Playoffs next year. Realistically, we might have 2 lottery picks again next year. Does the FO factor this in the least bit with this draft as next year's draft appears to be decently deep? Your thoughts....

I wouldn't think so... So much can change in one year, we don't really know how the draft board will look or where we will pick. Too many if's.

Yes, because if they are doing their job then they should know, at the very least, if it is going to be a strong or weak draft. I dont think it has much of an effect on whom they pick this year, but might have an effect on whether they should trade the GSW pick.

Yea there's no doubt they consider the 2012 draft, but like you said next years class shouldnt impact this years picks

In this regard, yes and no...

But they don't determine who they will draft this year by next year's draft.

They know of potential players that they like. There is no way of knowing where their pick or any pick they own will end up.
