George hill for 12?

Post#1 » by carrottop12 » Wed Jun 22, 2011 7:14 pm

Apparently the spurs have offered the jazz hill for #12, interesting. What do you think?

I'd rather have jimmer honestly.

NBA sources say San Antonio has offered George Hill to Milwaukee (#10), Golden State (#11) and Utah (#12) in exchange for their pick.

That is interesting. I don't think Hill gets better than he is, so it's a matter of the value of the guy at 12. It's probably pretty equal getting a decent known over the wildness of this draft.

That's extremely intriguing even if Jimmer is on board at 12. I love George Hill, I'm really interested to see who the Spurs are so desperate to get...

It would make drafting at 3 interesting. Devin and Hill are a competent duo. Not long term, but drafting a big now and saving a PG for later would be the plan if this happens.

Wouldn't be surprised if the spurs are looking at biyombo, they make some strange picks sometimes.

And their strange picks always seem to turn into good players.

Ya I think you take that deal right away if it's on the table. George Hill would be an awesome pickup...I'm not sure if anyone at 12 would equal his type of production.

Hard to tell if you'll get a player that'll be able to produce better than Hill in this draft at #12. I'd be down just to kill all the Jimmer talk.

Im shocked by this! Spurs coaches have said for long time that Hill was their most valuable player the last couple of years. he is very versitile and can play PG and SG. I really doubt Spurs would do this, but if Im the Jazz I have to take it even though I really want the Jimmer on this team.

The trick to this is to agree to trade with the Spurs, tell them you will make the trade after the pick (just in case someone slips that you want), and then make the pick that they want. Then you back out of the trade and keep whichever player the Spurs wanted, because no one drafts better than they do.

George Hill---for me, done deal if offered. Then Kanter at 3.

Hill backs up Harris and Hayward at the SG position. Now the Jazz have consistent offense off the bench and good play making between Harris, Hill and Hayward. It makes a 2 guard lineup work well.

Maybe San Antonio thinks Valunciunas will fall to 12 and that is the guy they are targeting.

Tempting. I probably do the trade.

But because it is San Antonio and they are so shrewd, I am immediately suspicious that there is something wrong with George Hill.

I'd do this in a second.

San Antonio are not the savants people think.... I mean they are good but they aren't flawless. They don't even have the same management since their championships.

You do that deal and then if the Jazz really do want Jimmer or someone else that badly they can make another move to get back into the 10-8 range. I'm sure Harris and/or Millsap would fetch you a pick somewhere in there if you could find the right deal.

LOL first thing that came to my mind as well. I just think they want the center at all costs and willing to wait for him. If he falls to 12, then the Jazz should consider him as well especially if Jimmer is off the board.

Not interested in him or Jimmer. There are guys with way more upside than Hill or Jimmer for that matter avalible at #12 like my personal pick Jordan Hamilton.
