It looks he won't be the Hawks backup SG.

It's to be expected. Good international jobs are in limited supply. Undrafted free agents have to make decisions quick and the lockout doesn't look promising.

According to Draft Express, in light of the NBA lockout, Thomas now may be the highest paid rookie in the world after signing to play for Mobis Phoebus in South Korea for a salary of $350,000. The transaction was first reported by Asia Basket.

Thomas averaged 11.4 points, 8.1 rebounds and 2.0 blocks alongside San Antonio Spurs rookie forward Kawhi Leonard at SDSU, leading the Aztecs to the Sweet Sixteen in March.

They aren't staying, just getting a pay day for one year. Just smart moves as they will still be playing ball and getting paid. Hawks can still sign them. They may even tune up their games more..

Too Much Good Stuff!

Co-Sign Geaux re: Lighty & Thomas signing to play over seas. This will definitely help tune up their games and enhance fundamental basketball skills needed to play well in the NBA.

Hopefully, The Hawks will sign these two players as soon as possible!

For Sale!

Anyone hear any updates on who the new owner of the Hawks may be and, when the sale may be finalized? That's the only news that interest me, right now.

Other than that, this roster requires a talent upgrade at most every position and the head coach needs to step up his game too! Hold these players accountable on defense and offense. Use the bench as a deterrent for bad play.
No effort on defense = Da B!tch Bench!

Just a hint...

look at the other topic on the board. There are usually topics about certain issues. Just don't hijack threads.

If the Hawks were sold on Lighty, perhaps they should have gone outside the norm and paid the guy some bucks before the lockout! Now, he's open to anyone who has gotten the word on him.

Don't expect Sund to bring this guy in now....he had his chance IMO. If Sund has to compete for a legit player, does he usually have the best package? I go against Sund in any competitive situation, even though he kept Joe for us...lucky us!

Geaux_Hawks!

Yeah man, they closed the Hawks Fans Nest for the Summer. The beat blog with MC closes every week for weeks at a time. Looks like MC posted a new blog yesterday re: ZaZa playing in Italy, which is old news at this point!

The thing is MC gives no explanation as to why his blog was closed for 2 weeks. We get no respect!
So, I've found a new spot to hang! I love this site, very nice tools. I just have to learn how to cop and capture quotes and paste them into my responses.

I like the various topics and counters re: how many comments posted and dates members joined the site. All of this is:
