Prettiest Jumpshot in NBA History?

Post#1 » by DrProphet » Fri Jul 15, 2011 12:13 am

Who do you think that would be?
I haven't seen many of the Old Players, but I'd nominate:
Kobe
Ray Allen
Deron Williams (Idk if he's a legitimate candidate, but i like his shot)
Stephen Curry?
I've heard Jerry West's was textbook.

I'd add Ray Allen, and Jordan and Kobe towards the end of their careers,

Allan Houston's shot was great. I've seen better, but he was maybe the best 'covered' jump-shooter I've seen.

Aside from the usual suspects, a few more: World B. Free, Vince Carter, Jeff Hornacek, Jeff Malone, Chris Jackson/Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf...

Why teach fundamentals when you can just show tape of Ray Allen? Amazing and the best imo.

Always loved watching him shoot even though his form is far from textbook.

Sleeper: Rudy Gay because of how pure his jumper is.

^^I thought about T-Mac and Gay, but I think that while they do have really nice form, what makes them both so impressive is how quickly and how high they rise for the release.

Drazen Petrovic, Stephen Curry, JJ Redick

TMac's was pretty because he had such great length (no homo, haha)
Dirk's is untraditional but it gets tremendous arc

Hands down it has to be Ray Allen IMO.

Ray Allen
Gay
Dirk
Kobe
Nash

I always use one of those player's forms when creating a player(or My player) in 2k11.

That, + Richard Hamilton, his jumper was a beauty too.

I don't think of Ray Allen's shot as being that pretty, it's good but it's not water like Curry's or Petrovic's.

Based on the looks alone, regardless of if the shot goes in or not. For me It will have to be Vince Carter when he was playing with the nets. His normal jumpshot was almost like a fadeaway. If not vince it would be Kobe/Tmac/Jordan or even Travis Outlaw(Gets up really high on his jumpshots)

and his left handed shot looks alot better than 90% of players in the nba's normal shot.

Finesse,Effortless shooting form with ridiculous range.
