Which Hawks will surprise this year?

Assuming a season of course.

Who do you see stepping up? Who might be stepping down? Anyone look to be ready to bust out?

Hopefully Jeffrey doesn't just continue his Chicago series performance but builds on it and with every year there's always that fleeting hope that Marvin is salvageable....second year in less iso dependent offense, no more Jamal stealing shots and minutes, duck booty partially reconstructed......yea he might still fall short of even this low expectation.

I have a feeling that Horford will make some major improvements to his game. I also feel that if Marvin is gone that Pape Sy will have a good year.

I got a feeling Joe Alexander will be signed and will revive his career at the 3. Long shot, but I liked Joe.

I think Teague steps up this year and wins the Most Improved player award, I don't think Marvin will be terrible as long as he comes off the bench, he was good in the Orlando series off the bench.

I have been high on Pape Sy well before we drafted him. I find it interesting that you mentioned him, myrak.

I hope Marvin Williams steps his level of play up and actually demands the ball more. He needs to get some attitude and not just be content with having no role on offense. On the hand, I hope his back is 100% after surgery, and he is prepared to live up to his contract.

Most of all, I think the Hawks desperately need Jeff Teague to play like he did during the Chicago series, so my hopes are high, but I think Teague needs to be set free on offense.

I think Jeff Teague will step up and become a 13 pt 5 assist guy or maybe even 15 pts 7 assist guy. I think Marvin has value coming off the bench and those 10 pts and 5 rebs with decent defense don't look bad from a bench player. I don't think he steps up any but I think the perception of him could change by sending him to the bench permanently. That's about it. We need a Center. I am so eager for this mess to get over to see what we have to work with financially in getting a center.

Tyson Chandler and Nene Hilario are the two big names. We won't have the money to pursue them unless a S&T is done and one of our bigger contracts are moved (Josh Smith or Al Horford). I wouldn't get my hopes up because no one else that's available is really an upgrade over ZaZa.
