MIN - PHO

Another way to go, for those that don't want to sell the pick. If Mr. Taylor is willing to spend the money, they can pay to move Brad Miller's insured deal to a cheap owner.

For example, Sarver's got a TPE, he's cheap, and if he amnesties Vince Carter, he's spent a chunk of money on the rest of his contract for zero production. If he doesn't do much in free agency (which I think is a good prediction), he may be a target .. simply swap him Brad Miller + $2 mil cash for the TPE.

MIN GETS: $4.75 mil TPE

PHO GETS: Brad Miller, $3 mil in cash

Why for MIN? $4.75 mil in additional cap space. Taylor's got a $1.8 mil in sunk cost in the uninsured part of Miller's contract (about $1 mil) + $0.8 buy-out - paying an extra $1.2 mil turns it all into cap space, which has more value.

Why for PHO? Free Cash. If PHO doesn't need the cap space (or the TPE), they get $3 mil for adding $1.8 mil in debt.
