Re: hanley is available
Hanley (11M per) hit .243 while Jeter (14M) hit .296...I don't worry about Hanley's skills but he seems to be a bit of a headcase. A bit of Starbury in that kid.
Obviously the Yanks want to get younger but right now, I can't decide on SS right now because the starting pitching is such a higher priority.

Yeah I'm not so sure about Ramirez. And it's hard to even fanthom talk about moving Jeter just like that. Anyone else at Jeter's stage of his career maybe. But right now before the start of the season? Not sure about that. This is something you build up to. This would just seem like an All-Star caliber SS beign available and the Yankees just jumping and shoving a legend to the OF. As much as sentiments shouldn't matter I don't think this would go off well with the vast majority of fans. If this was Pujols replacing Texeira (or from an already happened standpoint ARod replacing Soriano) I don't think fans would mind as much, but Ramirez really isn't noticeably better than Jeter nor does he carry the name recognition that my previous example would to justify this "suddenish" move.
